The 10-year Gilt yield opened lower....>

GILT SUMMARY
GILT SUMMARY: The 10-year Gilt yield opened lower this morning and is currently
trading approximately -1.5bp lower following the lead of the German 10-year and
US Treasury 10-year yields. Market sources say that there was good early morning
buying of the TYZ7 which may have pushed yields lower.
- There has been little progress made in Brexit talks as the fifth round of
negotiations will end today in Brussels. The UK appears to be bracing for the
worst as the talks become increasingly difficult.
- 2-yr Gilt is -0.9bp at 0.457%, 5-yr -1.3bp at 0.784%, 10-yr -1.5bp at 1.364%
and 30-yr -1.7bp at 1.934%. The yield curve is flatter on the day.
- In terms of announcements and speakers, we have the BoE Quarterly Credit
Conditions at 0930BST and the Brexit talk press briefing (time to be confirmed).
BoE Governor Mark Carney and BoE Andy Haldane are also due to speak in
Washington.
- The UK linker yields also appear to be trading lower today.
