AUSSIE BONDS: The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) will today
sell A$500mn of the 2.50% 21 May 2030 Bond, issue #TB155.
- The line was last sold on 1 May 2019 for A$900mn. The sale drew an average
yield of 1.8222%, at a high yield of 1.8400% and was covered 3.1722x. There were
26 bidders, 9 of which were successful and 2 were allocated in full. Amount
allotted at highest yield as percentage of amount bid at that yield was 67.2%.
- The line forms part of the basket for XMM9.
- The auction should be supported by the relatively small issuance size.
- The line trades closer to the cheaper end of its 3-month range in ASW terms,
although back from the cheaps seen in mid/late April.
- Both the ACGB 04/23-05/30-04/37 & 04/26-05/30-04/33 flies sit off of their
recent cheaps, but still sit towards the lower end of their recent range.
- Results due at 0200BST/1100AEST.
