BOE: The BOE announced earlier this morning that it will stop conducting 3-month
CTRF operations with the last to take place on 28 May.
- It will continue to offer 1-month CTRF operations weekly until at least the
end of June and will also continue the weekly 6-month ILTR operations.
- The 3-month CTRF operations had originally been announced on 24 March with the
1-month operations announced on 30 March.
- With the exception of the first operation on 26 March, there has been little
take-up of the 3-month CTRF with no take up at all in operations from 16 April
onwards. So there is little in terms of real market significance here. If needed
the BoE can resume the 3-month operations with very little notice.
