DOLLAR
DOLLAR: The DXY remains slightly lower on the day and sits just above overnight
lows of 97.017 ahead of the Wall Street opening bell, with a broadly inline US
CPI report providing little price action in either direction. US equity futures
indicate a slightly higher open on Wall Street in just over 30 minutes' time
with the US futures market improving alongside their European counterparts which
suffered early doors.
US 10y yields sit close to the highest levels of the session but still well
below yesterday's highs of 3.1819%, with wider market focus sticking with the
progress of Brexit for now. Fed Chairman Powell is due to speak today but not
until after most markets close - his speech will touch on both national and
global economic issues. No embargoed text will be released, however there will
be a Q&A session following the appearance.
