KIWI: The flightless bird opened in Asia at $0.6888 toward the middle of
yesterday's $0.6861 to $0.6913 range, where policy concerns from New Zealand's
new government continues to see the Kiwi trade defensively. NZ Trade Balance
(2145GMT) is the main focus for the local market, a deficit of N$900mn is
expected, exports N$3.9bn and imports N$4.88bn. Support is now seen at $0.6846
(May15 low), a break to open $0.6827(May12 low), while resistance is noted at
$0.6913 (Oct25 high).
