YEN: The JPY has garnered strength through the Asia-Pac session thus far paying
more attention to the sell off in equity markets (Nikkei 225 -1.30% e-mini S&P
-12) than comments from Japanese gov't advisor Hamada who suggested that the
bank should purchase foreign bonds in its quest for reflation.
- USDJPY last trades at worst levels just above 107.20, while the AUDJPY is
trading 50 or so points lower at 83.60 last.
- Technicals suggest that USDJPY bears need a close below Y107.01 to retain
initial focus on Y105.50, while AUDJPY traders will likely pay attention to
83.32 the 2018 low from Feb 14.
