STOCKS: The latest round of events in the Middle East dented sentiment
overnight, with U.S. equity index futures selling off in the wake of Thursday's
Wall St. rally.
- The major regional Asia-Pac indices were a little more resilient, but still
came under notable pressure, unwinding most, if not all, of their respective
early gains, and in some cases, more.
- The ASX 200 was the exception to the rule, as the energy sector outperformed,
aided by the spike higher in crude oil prices.
- Hang Seng -0.2%, CSI 300 -0.4%, ASX 200 +0.6%.
- S&P 500 futures -27, DJIA futures -218, NASDAQ 100 futures -80.
