The latest round of geopolitical tensions....>

STOCKS
STOCKS: The latest round of geopolitical tensions did little to dent the major
regional equity markets during Asia-Pac trade, although the lack of a lower
fixing in China's 1-Year Loan Prime Rate provided some temporary headwinds for
the majority of the indices.
- However, mainland Chinese markets were able to lean on the continued deluge of
pre-Lunar New Year PBoC liquidity injections for support, with the positive lead
from Wall St. also supporting the major regional indices during the first
session of the week.
- Although, the Hang Seng underperformed, with some pointing to the
re-escalation of protests in Hong Kong over the weekend.
- Japan +0.3%, Hang Seng -0.3%, CSI 300 +0.3%, ASX 200 +0.4%.
- S&P 500 futures +2, DJIA futures +21, NASDAQ 100 futures +7.
