EURO-DOLLAR: The single currency opened in Asia at $1.1796 toward the middle of
the $1.1781 to $1.1820 range witnessed yesterday, where broad based US dollar
strength and political uncertainty in Europe was seen to weigh on the Euro. The
Spanish government has given Catalan leaders until Thursday to back away from
declaring independence or face the possibility of direct rule from Madrid. In
the absence of any significant data or schedule events in Asia, local traders
anticipate sideways consolidation ahead of the European open. Support is located
at $1.1775 (50% fib $1.1670-$1.1880), while hourly resistance is located at
$1.1820.
