DOLLAR
DOLLAR: The USD extends gains across the board in early Europe, further
underpinning the DXY's move to fresh ytd highs of 97.39. Near-term resistance is
seen at 97.47 from the Jun 27 2017 high, above here opens a move toward 97.98
which represents the 61.8% retracement of 103.82-88.54. USDJPY surges to Y114.21
targeting the 1.0% 10-dma envelope & Oct 4 YTD high at Y114.53/55. EUR, GBP, AUD
& NZD all register fresh lows on the move. Gold further extends declines to
$1205.93 having closed below the 100-dma on Friday ($1215.61), with bears
needing a break of the $1200 level to regain control. Markets expected thin
today with the US out for Veterans Day holiday.
