Trudeau Tests +ve For COVID As Protest Forces PMs Family To Leave Ottawa

Earlier today Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed that he had recieved a positive COVID-19 test. Trudeau's official account tweeted: "This morning, I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m feeling fine – and I’ll continue to work remotely this week while following public health guidelines. Everyone, please get vaccinated and get boosted."

  • Comes as the prime minister and his family leave the PM's official residence in Ottawa in the face of massive protests led by truck drivers opposed to vaccine drivers that have led to gridlock and seen protests directly outside the residence.
