flurry of data including private ADP ahead Fri's Aug NFP (+195k est vs. +177k
whisper). US$ index softer DXY -.060, 95.124 (94.942L/95.208H), $/Eur -0.0002 at
1.1628, $/Yen -.24 111.29; equities mildly firmer (emini +1.0, 2889.25); Gold
firm (XAU +8.47, 1205.42); West Texas crude little higher (WTI +0.11, 68.83).
- Asia, quiet sideways trade amid light 2-way flow, some fast- and real$ buying
short end as Shanghai equities slipped lower, mild risk-off buying amid ongoing
concerns over additional tariff impositions by US.
- London, carry-over 2-way, mild bid w/Bunds after weak German factory orders
and dovish take on the Riskbank monetary policy statement pushing chances of
hike out to year end or Feb. Recent prop and real$ selling 10s and 30s. Swap
spds mostly wider, spd curve flatter, two-way in 5s and 10s. Eurodollar futures,
weaker across the strip, recent seller -12k EDU 97.65 took front end offered.
