TTF Extends Decline as Warm Weather Continues

NATURAL GAS

TTF extends decline as the latest weather forecasts show an extension of the warm weather into the middle of November.

  • The early return of the Skarv field in Norway and expected return of Karsto next week add to the current healthy supplies.
  • The front is falling faster than future seasons with concerns for tight supplies next summer and beyond. Lack of Russian supplies and any recovery in Chinese LNG demand may put pressure on the ability for Europe to replenish gas stocks next summer. European demand reduction measures may be required until LNG capacities are increased in the coming years.
    • TTF DEC 22 down -6.2% at 117.65€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 23 down -2.9% at 125.56€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 23 down -2.6% at 123.05€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 down -2.7% at 91.85€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 24 down -2.3% at 91.5€/MWh
