TTF Front Month Extends Decline Towards Weekly Low

NATURAL GAS

The Q1 2024 premium over front month continues to edge higher today as the front month pulls back with the lack of cold weather in Europe and Asia easing near term supply risks. Q1 2024-Nov 2023 has risen from a recent low of 3.14€/MWh on 13 Oct up to 6.85€/MWh today.

  • The upside impact of the first spell of cooler weather could be limited by supply availability from above normal volumes of LNG at sea potentially waiting for higher demand and higher priced periods.
  • TTF front month is falling back towards the low of the week at 46.2€/MWh from 17 Oct after rising yesterday amid concern for rising Middle East tensions.
    • TTF NOV 23 down -7.7% at 46.9€/MWh
    • TTF Q1 24 down -5.1% at 53.88€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 down -4.4% at 52.23€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 24 down -4% at 55.14€/MWh
    • TTF Q124-NOV 23 up 1.1€/MWh at 6.98€/MWh
    • TTF Q125-Q124 up 1.4€/MWh at 2.43€/MWh
