TTF Holding Steady with Ongoing Supply Fears

TTF pulled back from record highs yesterday but remains very high with ongoing fears for gas supplies to Europe.

  • TTF SEP 22 up 0% at 269.11€/MWh
  • TTF WIN 22 up 1.9% at 278€/MWh
  • Reduced Norwegian supply and a delayed restart to US Freeport LNG are adding to concerns that Russian gas supplies won’t resume following a three day outage from Aug 31.
  • Freeport LNG yesterday announced a delay to the restart of exports from October to early or mid November.
  • Capacity reductions at Troll and Kollnes are limiting Norway output to 303.8mcm/d compared to over 330mcm/d earlier this month.
  • Russian flows through Nord Stream are today nominated at 31.97mcm/d and transit through Ukraine is at 42.2mcm/d.
  • Injections continue into EU stocks now up to 77.74% full.
