Tusk & Zelensky Hold Phone Call, FinMin Domanski To Talk About Public Finances

- BusinessInsider ran a report on Governor Glapinski's suggestion that the NBP would like to see an increase in capital requirements for domestic banks. During his latest press conference, he noted that the countercyclical capital buffer (CCyB) rate should be raised to 1% immediately and then to 2%. Any decision on the matter will be made by the Finance Minister on the advice of the Financial Stability Committee for Macroprudential Supervision (KSF-M), which consists of representatives of the NBP, financial watchdog KNF, Finance Ministry and Bank Guarantee Fund.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram that he informed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk of the urgent need for air-defence systems to protect Ukraine's second-largest city of Kharkiv. Zelensky also wrote that his and Tusk's teams will start working on a bilateral security agreement.
- Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski will discuss public finances on social media this afternoon.
