Uk Firms Starts CBAM Study

UK consultancy Technopolis Group has started a study into the potential expansion of the EU CBAM to new goods and transportation services, it said.

  • The assessment will identify new goods at risk of carbon leakage and assess their potential inclusion in CBAM.
  • Additionally, the study will explore embedded emissions from transporting CBAM goods into the EU.
  • The firm will look at the cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertilizers, electricity, and hydrogen sectors.
