UMNO Spokesman Says PM Ismail Sabri Is Now Free To Decide On GE15 Date

The government's Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the opposition Pakatan Harapan alliance will expire at the end of the month, UMNO Information Chief Shahril Hamdan. This will give Prime Minister Ismail Sabri a free hand to decide on the date of the next general election.

  • "Umno and the prime minister must have space to determine the appropriate date. That is why the party decided that after July 31, our hands will no longer be tied and the option will be in the hands of the PM."
