OIL: Urals Oil Discounts Widen in H1 March

The price of Urals on a FOB basis ranged from $56/b-$56.9/b in H1 March, compared to a range of $59.9-$60.8/b in Feb, Interfax said citing Argus pricing.

  • Discounts to Dated Brent were around $14.5/b-$15.5/b, compared to $14.3/b-$15.2/b in Feb.
  • Urals on a delivered basis to West Coast India has dropped to $68.6/b, with the discount to Brent widening marginally from around $2.8/b to $2.83/b.
  • Russian Urals on a DAP basis to China traded with a premium of $1.5/b to Brent, up from $0.44/b in Feb.
  • The price of ESPO sold from Russia’s Far East ports dropped to $63.3/b so far in March, compared to $66.6/b in Feb.
