US Gasoline Imports from Europe Hit 4-Week High

European gasoline imports into the US tripled on the week to a four-week high of 339k b/d in the seven days to Sep. 21, according to Bloomberg.

  • Oil-exporting terminals in Corpus Christi, Texas will be able to load more oil onto VLCCs starting from October.
  • Chevron Plans to add a further 65k b/d of Venezuelan oil output by 2024 year-end in its first major drilling campaign since US sanctions were lifted on some operations in the country, according to Reuters.

  • Airline capacity in North America in the week commencing Sep. 25 is set to be unchanged on the previous week, according to OAG. Total North American passenger seats remain 2% higher than the same period in 2019.
  • The Dollar is mostly in the Green across most of the majors, benefitting from the Risk Off tone and higher US Yields. The Bloomberg dollar spot index was up 0.36% on the day to 1262.62.
