US LNG Exports Rebound To Highest Level Since June

US LNG exports have recovered to the highest level since the explosion at the Freeport LNG terminal, as the new terminal in Louisiana makes up for some of the lost cargoes.

  • Natural gas flowing to US terminals climbed to 12.8bcf on Wednesday, up 11% from a year ago and the highest level since 7 June, the day before the Freeport LNG blast, according to preliminary data from BloombergNEF.
  • Freeport can produce 2bcf/d of LNG and is scheduled to partially resume production next month.
  • Natural gas sent to Venture Global LNG Inc.’s Calcasieu Pass export terminal in Louisiana, which started operations earlier this year and has been ramping up output, hit daily record at nearly 1.9bcf on Wednesday, according to BNEF.
