US Refiners Gear Up for Results Season

REFINING

US refiners are expected to report lower fourth quarter 2023 earnings compared to the same period in 2022 according to Argus - driven by narrower margins and lower throughputs, even as demand for products has largely remained flat.

  • US independent refiner Valero is the first in the sector to announce earnings on 25 January, followed by Marathon Petroleum, Phillips 66 and LyondellBasell next week.
