US Regulators Approve Mexico Pacific LNG’s Saguaro Connector Pipeline


US energy regulators approved a cross-border pipeline capable of exporting 2.8 bcf/d of natural gas from Texas to Mexico Pacific’s Saguaro LNG export plant.

  • The Saguaro LNG facility is located on Mexico’s west coast, allowing those loading cargoes for Asia to avoid the Panama Canal
  • Mexico Pacific is still yet to give the financial final approval for the construction of 15m mtpa.
  • The cross-border pipeline had been opposed by environmental groups.
