US Retail Gasoline Highest Since 2014 Despite Recent Correction

Pre-LaborDay retail gasoline prices are the highest in the US since 2014 according to EIA

  • On Monday Aug 29 before the Labor Day weekend the average retail price of regular gasoline averaged 3.83$/gal, which was 0.69$/gal (22%) higher than at the same time last year.
  • The retail gasoline price has fallen 1.18$/gal since a peak on June 13, according to the EIA Gasoline and Diesel Fuel Update.
