DOLLAR-CANADA
DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD dropped 13 pips overnight and last deals at C$1.3198,
with WTI trading flat at writing.
- Initial downside focus falls on C$1.3152, which represents the 200-DMA. A fall
below that level would allow bears to set their sights on the lower 1.0% 10-DMA
envelope at C$1.3124. Meanwhile, bulls look for a jump above the 21-DMA, located
at C$1.3217, which would allow them to target the 100-DMA/100-HMA at
C$1.3251/55.
- Domestic retail sales, due Friday, headlines the Canadian docket this week.
Elsewhere, BoC Gov Poloz is set to speak tomorrow.
