DOLLAR-YEN
DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY last Y113.60, a touch lower on the day, with the Nikkei 225
& benchmark U.S. equity index futures marginally lower at writing.
- Rate finished virtually unchanged Monday as broader USD weakness nullified the
impact of the early risk on flows on the rate, with a reversal in longer dated
U.S. yields and a flatter Tsy curve also adding some weight on the day.
- Initial support is located at yesterday's lows of Y113.38 and a break below
would open up the Nov 29 low at Y113.19, while initial resistance lies at
yesterday's high of Y113.85 and a break above would give bulls a green light for
targeting the psychological Y114.00 level.
- Japanese focus this week falls on BoJ Rinban ops, while BoJ's Wakatabe is due
to speak Wednesday.
