USDJPY bounce again above 143.00

  • USDJPY heads back towards 143.00 after finding some resistance at the 50% retrace of yesterday's sell off at 143.13, did print 143.27.
  • There was strange move at 10.50BST, with USDJPY dropping dropping from 143.16 all the way down to 142.32.
  • Yen saw similar buying against G10s, although unconfirmed, this is unlikely to have been an intervention with Japan on a public holiday and the reason they intervened yesterday ahead of a long weekend.
  • Most likely a fix trade giving the timing just before 11.00BST
