Valero Set to Run up to 95% Combined Capacity Q3

Valero, the second biggest refiner in the US, is set to run up to 95% of combined capacity in Q3 2023 according to Reuters reports.

  • Valero's refineries ran at an average of 94% of their combined total throughput capacity in Q2.
  • The company's seven US Gulf Coast refineries are expected to run between 1.77 million bpd and 1.82 million bpd or 95% to 98% of their combined capacity.
  • Valero's three mid-continent refineries are forecast to run between 450,000 bpd and 470,000 bpd or 93% to 97% of their combined capacity.
  • The company's two North Atlantic refineries will operate between 435,000 and 455,000 bpd, or 86% and 90% of their combined capacity.
  • It plans to run its two California refineries between 240,000 bpd and 260,000 bpd, or 79% to 85% of combined capacity.
