BUNDS
BUNDS: Volume in German bond futures has been limited in the early part of the
first extended hours trading session, although the space has been largely
underpinned by a broader risk off theme.
- Bunds last deal 40 ticks above settlement, hovering just shy of best levels
after registering a fresh contract high, Bobls trade 9 ticks above settlement &
Schatz trades 1.0 tick below settlement.
- Focus falls on broader risk appetite surrounding the Huawei CFO, although it
is worth watching the German political situation after "AKK" succeeded Merkel at
the head of Germany's ruling CDU party. Elsewhere social troubles in France &
political matters in Italy provide familiar themes for traders to watch in
Europe, in addition to Brexit issues. Worth noting that the ECJ will give its
ruling re: if Article 50 can be reversed, later today.
