Voters Not Sold On Impeachment But Process Could Harm Biden In 2024

US

A new survey from Yahoo News/YouGov has found that most Americans don’t think President Biden should be removed from office via impeachment.

  • Although voters are unconvinced by impeachment, the survey notes, “but at the same time there are signs that the GOP’s impeachment push may be starting to have one of its intended political effects: raising suspicious that Biden might also be “corrupt” ahead of what is likely to be a bruising 2024 presidential contest with former President Donald Trump, who is facing 91 criminal charges across four separate cases.”
  • Yahoo cites the ongoing legal trouble's of Biden's son, Hunter, as evidence that the high-profile nature of cases Republican-led investigations in Biden, his administration, and members of his family may already showing signs of negatively influencing Biden's 2024 campaign.
  • Yahoo: "When asked if [voters] think the president “did anything illegal regarding Hunter Biden,” for instance, nearly half of Americans (48%) now say yes — compared with just 31% who say he did not."
