Voters Turning Against Trudeau As Election Campaign Ramps Up

Latest opinion polling from Canada less than a month ahead of the federal election shows a deteriorating picture for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his centre-left Liberal Party. Overall federal polling shows the Liberals short of the support required to win a majority, while polling examining support or views on each party leader show a major decline in many voters' views of Trudeau.

  • Based on the federal polling above, the Liberals would be short of a majority with 140 seats (170 required), relying on the leftist New Democratic Party (NDP) to provide support to a minority gov't once again.
