WAF Crude Shipments Slip in April Despite Nigerian Gain

West African oil exports fell by 3.1% even as Nigerian crude exports recovered on a monthly basis according to Bloomberg vessel tracking.

  • Observed WAF crude and condensate shipments decreased by 112.000 b/d m-o-m to 3.48mn b/d in March.
  • Angolan exports declined by 135k b/d to 965k b/d.
  • Eastbound shipments climbed by 12% to 1.41m b/d on stronger exports to China and Taiwan.
  • In April, shipments from the 10 West African nations tracked by Bloomberg are set to dip to 3.1m b/d from a revised 3.16m b/d in March, according to loading programs available so far.
