Weekly Gas Demand in Germany 36% Below 2018-21 Average

Weekly data in Germany shows industrial gas consumption 24% below the 2018-2021 normal and households now 54% below the normal according to THE data via Bundesnetzagentur.

  • The warm weather in NW Europe is helping to reduce demand and easing the supply risks for the rest of this winter. The latest weather forecast update shows another 10 days of warm weather before signs that temperatures could fall back to near normal in the second half of the month.
  • European storage is still creeping higher up to 95.3% compared to the five year average peak at 89% ahead of the winter season.
  • TTF DEC 22 up 4.7% at 114.79€/MWh
