Weekly German Gas Consumption Still 21% Below Normal

Weekly data in Germany shows industrial gas consumption 26% below the 2018-2021 normal and household and businesses now 15.5% below normal according to THE data via Bundesnetzagentur.

  • A recent fall in temperatures across Europe has seen an increase in heating demand but overall Germany consumption was still 21% below normal. Warm weather contributed to data showing German household and business consumption as much as 54% below the 2018-21 normal at the start of November.
  • German gas storage was at 241.9TWh and 98.24% full according to GIE data for Nov 29.
