Wider Recession Worry Supports Futures Overnight

JGBS

JGB futures added 38 ticks in overnight dealing as wider recession worry continued to dominate. The contract ultimately finished just shy of best levels, although it may be set to come under some pressure at the Tokyo re-open, with Tsy futures comfortably off of their respective Tuesday peaks. There hasn’t been much in the way of meaningful domestic news flow observed since yesterday’s Tokyo close. Wednesday’s domestic docket will be headlined by the latest round of BoJ Rinban operations, which covers 1- to 5- & 10- to 25-Year JGBs.
