Woodside, Unions Reach In-Principle Agreement

LNG

Unions representing workers at Woodside Energy Group North West Shelf LNG operations are considering a “strong offer” from the company after negotiations that ran through Wednesday night, averting industrial action, the Offshore Alliance said in a social media post.

  • Employee representatives were "supportive of the in-principle agreement" and all members will vote to ratify the deal at 7.30 pm Perth time (1130 GMT), according to a release from the union.
  • The Offshore Alliance said further details of the settlement will be released after a meeting with members on Thursday.
  • Separately, a union ballot of workers at Chevron’s Gorgon and Wheatstone downstream facilities to vote for industrial action will close this morning 8:00BST.
