Biden 'Made Clear Commitment To Cross-Strait Peace & Stability'

(MNI) London - White House National Security Council coordinator John Kirby speaking to reporters. States that "[President Joe] Biden came out of meeting with China's [President] Xi feeling very good about discussions." Kirby: "Biden made it very clear to Xi that US is pursuing peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, but will provide self-defense capabilities to Taiwan."

  • Kirby: "Biden made clear to Xi he does not want any more American deaths over fentanyl."
  • Also talks on the Israle-Hamas war. Kirby: "US is confident in its own intelligence assessment of Hamas activities in Gaza's al Shifa Hospital...US assesses Hamas using al Shifa as command center and possibly as a storage facility."
