President Joe Biden has seen a surge in his approval to 42.6 (net -9.7) since recording a presidency low of 40.4 (net -11.90) on April 12.
- According to the Real Clear Politics presidential approval tracker, Biden's net approval is now the highest since it touched net -8.8 on March 12 when Biden's approval strengthened following his State of the Union address.
- It is likely that Biden current strong approval is being supported by the SCOTUS Roe v. Wade leak fortifying support amongst the Democrat voter base and the continuing success of the US effort to support Ukraine in repelling the Russian invasion.
- RCP also shows that the gap between Biden and former president Donald Trump in leader favourability is tightening. Trump currently has a favourability of -7.6 compared to Biden with -8.
