Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt is set to deliver the Budget Statement in the House of Commons at 0830ET/1230GMT/1330CET. The statement will follow prime minster's questions at midday, which is usually a fairly tepid affair with little in the way of notable policy statements ahead of budgets.

- Hunt has already revealed one of the main policies of the statement, with the energy price guarantee remaining in place for an additional three months, with the typical energy bills of the average household capped at GBP2,500 until end-June rather than rising to GBP3,000 at the end of March as originally planned.
