China Diesel and Gasoline Exports Slip October m/m

Chinese gasoline exports slipped to 770,000 tons in October, down from 1.09 million tons in September and compares to 1 mn tons last October according to General Administration of Customs data.

  • Chinese diesel exports slipped to 1.1mn metric tons, down from 1.18mn tons in September but were 4.4% higher y/y.
  • Jet fuel exports stood at 1.53 million tons, up 5.5% from September and up 32% from a year-earlier when they stood at 1.16 million tons.
  • Chinese refiners are facing tightening fuel export quotas which are squeezing refiners’ ability to export, pressing margins and refinery runs further into November.
