Egypt Expects To Export 8.5Mn T Of LNG In 2023

Egypt is expecting to export 8.5mn tonnes of LNG in 2023, Oil Minister Tarek El-Molla said to CNBC Arabia.

  • Egypt exported around 7.7mn tonnes of LNG in 2022, according to Bloomberg data.
  • Last year Egypt has been boosting gas exports to Europe. Egypt expects to export 15% of its gas production, prime minister Moustaga Madbouly said in August.
  • Egyptian Egas and Chevron are preparing for official announcement on new gas field in Mediterranean, which is about 80km from Port Said and 190m deep, Molla said.
