Finance Ministry Holds Floating-Rate Bond Auction

  • Finance Minister Zbynek Stanjura told Hospodarskke Noviny that conditions might be ripe for cancelling the windfall tax, if extraordinary revenues for the years 2023 and 2024 will be roughly the same as the state's extraordinary spending. He described the instrument as unwanted but necessary to cover unexpected expenses. Stanjura said that the financial administration will check compliance with the tax.
