FM Wang: 'One-China Principle Violated By Blinken's Taiwan Comments'

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on a trip to Europe has made several harsh comments towards the United States and its actions/statements regarding the Indo-Pacific and China.

  • Wang states that the 'one-China principle' has been violated by comments made recently by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken regarding Taiwan.
  • Also gave more vague accusatory comments, stating that the US's 'erroneous measures will lead to another blunder', and that China 'rejects the US's meddling in its affairs'.
  • Comes after Blinken on Tuesday called for Taiwan's 'robust' participation in the United Nations system. Taiwan remains unrepresented in the global bloc of nations due to Beijing's staunch opposition.
