Fresh Session Highs For Futures In Recent Trade

GILTS

Gilt futures extend to fresh session highs and once again breach 100.00 after yesterday’s/this morning’s forays above the round number. The U.S. data impulses (weekly jobless claims and ULC) adds to the dovish tinges that crept into the BoE communique after the initial “hawkish” reaction. Highs of 100.17 registered, contract last +8 at 100.05. Cash gilt yields are 2bp lower to 0.5bp higher, with the curve twist steepening.
