Frost To Answer Qs On NI Protocol In Lords 1130GMT

This morning UK Cabinet Office minister Lord Frost answers questions in the House of Lords on the Northern Ireland protocol negotiations with the EU. Frost due up at around 1130GMT (0630ET, 1230CET). This comes a day ahead of Frost's latest round of talks in Brussels with European Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic.

  • Earlier this morning, RTE's Tony Connellytweeted a long thread on a potential offer from the EU to legally enshrine a 50% cut in customs checks on goods moving from Great Britian to Northern Ireland.
  • Connelly says the offer has so far been rejected by Frost, "arguing that it would not represent a significant cut in the process of moving goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland."
