Futures Hit On Tsy Sell Off

JGB futures moved lower in overnight trade, with focus on the dynamic in U.S. Tsys, shedding 16 ticks vs. Tokyo settlement levels.

  • Late Monday saw BoJ Governor Kuroda note that there are still large downside risks to both economic activity and prices across Japan, although the economy is likely improve as the economy gradually reopens. Japan's consumer prices will likely "be negative for the time being" but will turn positive and increase gradually as downward pressure wanes, Kuroda told the annual meeting of the Japan Securities Dealers Association. Kuroda also reiterated the Bank's will act if necessary mantra.
