Global Airline Passenger Capacity Rises 0.82 % on Week: OAG

Global airline passenger capacity is set to rise to 120.25m seats in the seven days commencing from June 24, OAG said.

  • This is a rise of 0.82% on the previous week. The net increase of 979k seats is lower than last week’s rise of 1.21m seats.
  • The rise continues to lag with last week’s forward schedule by 0.36%, which expected total capacity to hit 120.69m seats.
  • Domestic capacity is up 0.64% on the week at 69.88m seats. Domestic capacity has risen every week since May 13.
  • Meanwhile, international capacity has risen by 1.08% to 50.37m seats. International capacity has risen every week since March 11.
