Iran Talks Underway In Vienna

Iran nuclear JCPOA talks are now underway again in Vienna and Iran's diplomatic team has had bilateral meetings today with delegations from the EU, Russia, and China.

• Reports this week have suggested that talks are reaching a positive conclusion. Yesterday oil prices fell slightly on news from the Russian delegation saying that a 'final document' was being prepared but this is as yet unverified.
• EU Rep Enrique Mora said: 'We need spirit of compromise to take us back to full implementation. In view of different undesirable trends undermining the JCPOA, there is a need to swiftly conclude these negotiations.'
• A Chinese spokesperson has said the burden falls to the US: 'As the culprit of the Iranian nuclear crisis, the US should overhaul its erroneous policy of “maximum pressure” on Iran, and lift all illegal sanctions on Iran and third parties. On this basis, Iran should resume full compliance.'
