CHINA
CHINA: Little to note re: the TomTom traffic trackers in China. Monday has so
far represented the peak of activity for the week(which was still well below
average) in both Beijing & Shanghai, with slightly less activity on Tuesday &
early today. Activity in Wuhan (very tight restriction of movement) and Shenzhen
(tech hub) remains virtually non-existent by historical standards.
- Worth flagging an FT article released Tuesday which noted that "Apple's
biggest iPhone plant is struggling to return to full production after China's
new year holiday because of restrictions on movement caused by the coronavirus,
adding to concerns that the outbreak will have a lasting effect on the US
company." This plant is in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
