Manufacturing Confidence Falls to 100.2 in November

  • Central bank data showed that Turkey's manufacturing confidence was 100.2 in November (Prior: 103.3), adjusted manufacturing confidence was 103.9 (Prior: 105.3) and capacity utilisation was 78% (Prior: 77.4%). Meanwhile, Turkey's tourism arrivals rose 3.83% y/y in October versus +5.67% in September, according to the Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry.
  • Turkey and the UK signed a blueprint to deepen security and defense ties amid the former’s intention to purchase 40 Eurofighter jets, jointly produced by the UK, Italy, Spain and Germany, Hurriyet report. British Defense Minister Grant Shapps was in Ankara on Nov. 23 upon a formal invitation by Defense Minister Yasar Guler. The two ministers discussed bilateral and regional defense and security matters as well as ongoing cooperation in the field of defense industry.
